Allotment Lab app.

Working with Duchy College and Rothamsted Research, we (my studio Then Try This) prototyped and released a new system for allotment owners and gardeners. The allotment lab is a 'pocket lab', with walk through experiments for working out the soil type and how to improve compost. The nutrient values of the compost are calculated based on what is added to it each day. The system was planned to make suggestions for the best crops and companion plants, compost application rates and timings, and rotations. I illustrated the crops and wildlife with brush pen and watercolour, digitally recoloured, including making some animations and the full app wireframe designs.
